Two BlackBerry Stores with Integrated Expert Center Open in Indonesia

Two official BlackBerry distributors in Indonesia, Teletama Arta Mandiri (TAM) and Erafone, announce that they have opened two shops at Roxy in Jakarta, which is Indonesia’s biggest mobile devices selling center. Launched January 17, these outlets promise potential BlackBerry and PlayBook buyers a better shopping and customer service experience, with well-trained salespeople and a pleasing ambiance.

Buyers who plan to make their purchases at the official stores (Erafone and Selular Shop) are guaranteed of the quality of the products, which ahve two years’ warranty. These include accessories like batteries, earphones, pouches, and the like. The well-trained sales personnel come from both RIM and its distributors.

Meanwhile, after-sales services are provided by BlackBerry Expert Center, which is integrated with each store. Customers who just want to experience BlackBerry features, applications and services firsthand, Zona Demo is available. A store with similar concept has been opened in the same city, located at Kelapa Gading area, last year. These concept stores are only available in two countries: Indonesia and Thailand.

BlackBerry Expert Centers promise instant device exchange under warranty, mobile OS upgrade, original components and spare parts. RIM employs professionally-trained and certified engineers in these facilities. Sixteen Expert Centers are owned and managed by four local wireless carriers, and more than 50 Centers are owned and operated by three distributors in major cities across Indonesia.

Executives of both distributors say that they were very pleased with the store launches in what is considered the biggest clustered mall for mobile devices in Indonesia. As a promotion, the first 400 customers get the chance to win holidays to Bali and BlackBerry PlayBook tablet computers.

    I notice that Blackberry is planning for another 4,000 stores in Indonesia: http://bit.ly/w7918i  There can be no way they are all going to be like the ones you’ve covered. I just can’t see anywhere finding 4,000 ‘well trained salespeople’!
