The other day, we featured the upcoming GreenTech Asia event. Today we bring you GreenEnergy Asia. Both will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, but this three-day event from June 26 to 28 will offer not merely a conference but also a symposium and exhibition. Themed Sustainable Solutions for a Greener Future, GreenEnergy Asia is designed for businesses, and key decision-makers are expected to come and take full advantage of the opportunities arising from emerging green energy initiatives in the Southeast Asia and Middle East.
Considered Southeast Asia’s premier international green energy exhibition and conference, the major focus of GreenEnergy Asia will be the latest technological development and advancements in renewable energy. The 2010 event hosted around 12,800 visitors and over 300 exhibiting organizations from 47 countries. 20 papers were presented, with US$ 3.25 million estimated sales booked during the event. This year, more than 15,000 delegates representing regulators, power producers, M&E consultants or engineers, architects, developers, building consultants, facility management and many more professions are expected to come.
Exhibitors will showcase their products and services that champion carbon reduction technology, energy efficiency, renewable and clean energy, and green building. The internal survey sampled from the exhibitors said that 76% rated quality of visitors as good or excellent. Meanwhile, 96% rated the service of organizer as good or excellent. Eighty-eight percent of exhibitors achieved or exceeded their expectation.
So far, the organizers have secured commitments from a few major players in the green tech industry as exhibitors. These include Solarland, an international group specializing in supplying both on-grid and off-grid solar energy products and solutions; Ningbo Ulica Solar Science & Technology Co. Ltd, a professional manufacturer specializing in producing solar cells, solar modules and providing solar system integration services; and Weidmuller Pte Ltd, a photovoltaic plants provider.
The participants will receive updates on the latest regulations, development and implementation news, and financing issues in reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint, with the objective of achieving sustainable energy solutions.
